The Palladio Collection is an Irish patent and is one of the most high security doors on the market today. The Palladio Door is a Composite Door it combines the strength of a timber door without the side effects of warping and twisting which can occur on a lot of timber products. The Palladio Composite Door has been said to look more like timber than timber itself. Its beautiful grain finish leaves the door looking remarkably like timber without the need of varnishing and sealing to stop future warping or twisting. The Palladio Composite Door has a very good BER insulation value. Its very unique patent which includes a honeycomb structure allows for a very strong product which does not twist or warp in extremes of weather and has been fully tested for the Irish market. Westmeath Windows & Doors Limited supply a full variety of styles and colours in the Palladio Collection. Doors can be done in a variety of colours inside and out to meet the customer’s requirements. Westmeath Windows & Doors Limited supplies a Palladio Composite Door with a very high end hook lock and lever -lever handles. The Palladio Composite Door is fitted with a low threshold to make it more accessible for wheelchair users. It is also fitted with very high end quality hardware such as hinges, locks, handles and letter boxes. Unlike PVC Doors the Palladio Composite Door offers the client the beauty of timber without the need of maintenance. It also offers the durability of timber without the worry of future twisting, binding or warping that is associated with Timber doors. It is also important to note that unlike other composite doors on the market the Palladio Composite Door is not a foam filled door. The disadvantages to which are shown in a video on Westmeath Windows & Doors Limited website which compares the security of the honeycomb composite door to the standard composite door.

Westmeath Windows offer a lightweight solid roof section designed by Celuplast and distributed by Westmeath Windows throughout the midlands. This unique system offers the client to replace an existing polycarbonate or glass roof with a more superior solid roof construction saving on heating bills and making the room habitable twelve months of the year unlike before. Some of the major advantages of a solid roof compared to a glass roof or polycarbonate roof are:

Polycarbonate roofs can be very cold during the winter and extremely hot during the summer. They can only be used for short periods of the year. It can act as a cold spot in the house sucking warm air from the main part of the house into the sunroom where the pressure is lower due to this coldness.

Polycarbonate roofs are light weight and very unstable. They cannot be walked on and are prone to damage in storms. Polycarbonate roofs do not behave well in strong winds and can move violently.

Polycarbonate roofs like glass roofs can discolour over time and fade. They can also be very noisy during heavy rain.

The solid roof screen offers a much sturdier highly insulated option. It can bear 2.5 tonnes of snow with no spread. It comes fully certified with full engineers report. It is an open rafter system so therefore there are no joists required. It is very sturdy and can be walked on at anytime just like a conventional roof system. It is lightweight so therefore it sits down on top of the existing windows that are there without the need to remove them so it ties in perfectly with an old conservatory . The state of the art aluminium ring beam enables the solid roof screen to keep its shape during heavy wind and rain fall. They are very well insulated and have a U-Value of 1.2. It is also very quiet compared to its equivalent in polycarbonate and glass so during heavy rain it is quite safe and quite sound. Again because of the high insulation qualities in the solid roof screen a low pressure doesn’t form in the sunroom causing a draught to be pilled from the main dwelling house into the sunroom unlike polycarbonate or glass.
